Outreach Programme
Invent Learning Bespoke Outreach Programme
What is it?
At Invent Learning we aim to provide educational provision for students who might not, for whatever reason, be accessing learning elsewhere. They might be young people who have Special Educational Needs, who are vulnerable for any number of reasons, who are anxious or who are trying to manage mental health or personal issues.
Many of the young people we work with have, so far, had a negative educational experience and their trust in the system needs to be rebuilt before learning can restart. This takes time and patience. To this end our instructors work hard to create good relationships between themselves and the students to eliminate the natural anxiety that comes with re entering education or a change of placement.
What can we provide in the programme?
We believe that we can provide a calm, safe, nurturing environment with an informal approach to education to help students feel as comfortable as possible through the transition back into learning.
We have designed our outreach programme to be tailored to each individual’s needs, through a flexible and bespoke plan which can be adapted as often as is necessary in order for us to achieve the best outcomes for each individual.
We aim to provide students with many relaxed, informal learning opportunities in order to rebuild confidence in their abilities and rekindle an interest in learning.
We prefer to offer students a variety of ways to access subjects, to suit their personal learning styles and by “doing” as much as possible and to use their hobbies and interests to meet educational targets.
